There are several grading systems for the classification of colour in a diamond. In N.Z. we use the GIA scale (Gemological Institute of America), D with no trace of colour, being the top grade, to Z+, being fancy colours, such as yellow.

D-E grades carry a premium price tag.

"Fancy coloured" diamonds can also be highly valued, but they have their own grading standards.
